In the counties surrounding Tampa alone, epilepsy affects the lives of around 16,000 kids, teens, and young adults. They and their families need our encouragement, our support, and our understanding.
Epilepsy Services Foundation is a charity that was established 45 years ago to support those affected by seizures. The charity holds regular events to increase awareness about life with epilepsy, they offer information and support to those with epilepsy and their families, and they raise money to provide camps for kids and support medical development in the field of neurology.
On March 2, Epilepsy Services Foundation held their 20th Annual Walk for Epilepsy at the beautiful Lake Seminole Park. Our own Ryan Clemens was there to represent Dimmitt Insurance in support of those people within our community whose lives are affected by epilepsy.
It was a beautiful, clear spring day and spirits were high as participants wore purple and walked 1 or 2 miles (whichever they preferred) for a great cause.
Thank you so much to everyone who came out to support those affected by chronic illness.
We can’t wait for next year’s walk!
